Russia-Ukraine War
European Union imposes new sanctions on nearly 200 entities over Russia's actions in Ukraine
The EU has reached a preliminary agreement on a 13th package of sanctions against Russia, according to Belgian officials on social media platform X. This new round of measures will add 193 entities and individuals to the list of those banned from traveling to the EU. The EU diplomatic sources emphasized the importance of continuing to weaken Putin's war machine. However, Hungary has been blocking the adoption of these sanctions due to the requirement for unanimity among member states. This is not the first time that Hungarian Prime Minister Vikor Orban has opposed retaliatory measures against Moscow.
