Elon Musk plans to move SpaceX and X headquarters from California to Texas over transgender law
Elon Musk, CEO of X Corp and SpaceX, has announced that he will be moving the headquarters of both companies out of California. The reason for this decision is a new law in California that prohibits schools from requiring teachers to notify parents when a child changes their gender identity or sexual orientation. Musk claims that this law, along with other similar laws passed previously, has made it impossible for him to continue operating his businesses in the state.
According to Musk, the law is intended to prevent the "forced outing" of pupils, but he believes it infringes on parents' rights to know about changes in their child's gender identity or sexual orientation. He has stated that this is the "final straw" and has decided to relocate both companies to Starbase, Texas.
