Eight killed in knife attack at vocational school in eastern China, police say

The incidents occurred at the Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology in Yixing, Jiangsu Province. A 21-year-old male student surnamed Xu was involved in the attack. According to some reports, he had failed his examinations and could not graduate, which may have contributed to his motive. The attack occurred in the evening and left eight people dead and 17 others injured. Xu was detained on site and later confessed to the crime.
