Ecuador's President Daniel Noboa declared election winner as rival demands recount

Daniel Noboa won the presidential election in Ecuador with a wide margin over his leftist rival Luisa Gonzalez. According to official results, Noboa secured 55.85% of the vote, while Gonzalez trailed with 44.07%. The National Electoral Council declared the result as irreversible, with more than 90% of ballots counted. However, Gonzalez rejected the results and demanded a recount, citing concerns over the integrity of the election process.
