Donald Trump found guilty of all charges related to hush money payments before 2016 presidential election
Donald Trump, the former US president, has been found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records. The charges relate to a payment made to Stormy Daniels, a porn star, before the 2016 election. The trial judge has set the date for sentencing as July 11. The verdict was reached after a six-week trial and less than two days of deliberation by a 12-member jury. Each count carries a maximum prison sentence of four years. Trump had pleaded not guilty to all charges. Trump's conviction marks a significant moment in American political history, making him the first former president to be convicted of felony crimes. The verdict has been met with condemnation from Trump himself, who branded it as "rigged" and claimed that the trial was led by a corrupt judge.
It's hard to believe that Reuters, once a respected news service, has fallen so low as to publish such a manipulative, false, defamatory and transparently stupid article as this one purely out of political spite.
If the jury found him innocent, he could have said they saw it for what it was, a politically motivated witch hunt. Found guilty, he can say it was rigged by Joe Biden, who had nothing to do with it.
Now more than ever, we need to rally around @realdonaldtrump, take back the White House and Senate, and get this country back on track.
Today is an important day for accountability and the rule of law.
Today is a shameful day in American history. Democrats cheered as they convicted the leader of the opposing party on ridiculous charges … The weaponization of our justice system has been a hallmark of the Biden administration, and the decision today is further evidence that Democrats will stop at nothing to silence dissent and crush their political opponents.
We respect the rule of law, and have no additional comment.
In New York today, we saw that no one is above the law. Donald Trump has always mistakenly believed he would never face consequences for breaking the law for his own personal gain.
From just minutes after the sham trial verdict was announced, our digital fundraising system was overwhelmed with support, and despite temporary delays online because of the amount of traffic, President Trump raised US$34.8 million dollars from small dollar donors.
