Donald Trump and Elon Musk discuss various topics in a live virtual interview on X

    1. The European Union should mind their own business instead of trying to meddle in the U.S. Presidential election. Only in Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' America can an un-Democratic foreign organization feel emboldened enough to tell this country what to do.
    1. It was a miracle. If I hadn't turned my head, I would not be talking to you right now, as much as I like you.
    2. Russia defeated Germany with us, and they defeated Napoleon. You know, they've been around a long time. They're a big fighting force, and it's very unfair … We're in a very bad position. And I'm not going to blame, exclusively, but I can tell you, I could have stopped that.
    3. These are people that are in jail for murder and all sorts of things, and they're releasing them into our country.
    4. The biggest threat is not global warming, where the ocean is going to rise one-eighth of an inch over the next 400 years.
    5. You'll have more ocean front property, right? The biggest threat is not that. The biggest threat is nuclear warming, because we have five countries now that have significant nuclear power, and we have to not allow anything to happen with stupid people like Biden.
    6. I need an Elon Musk -- I need somebody that has a lot of strength and courage and smarts. I want to close up the Department of Education, move education back to the states.
    7. It's evil. You're taking kids who are far below the age of consent. It's very possible for adults to manipulate children who are having an actual identity crisis into believing that they are the wrong gender.
    1. It's the evil empire shutting down free speech once again.
    1. Nobody is quite themselves in an interview, so it's hard to understand what they're really like.
    2. There appears to be a massive DDOS attack on X. Working on shutting it down. Worst case, we will proceed with a smaller number of live listeners and post the conversation later.
    3. It's just not possible for the United States to absorb, you know, everyone from Earth.
    4. We will proceed with the smaller number of concurrent listeners at 8:30 ET and then post the unedited audio immediately thereafter.
    5. The attack saturated all of our data lines. We think we've overcome most of that. As this massive attack illustrates, there's a lot of opposition to people just hearing what President Trump has to say.
    6. I think it would be great to just have a government efficiency commission that takes a look at these things and just ensures that taxpayer money... is spent in a good way.
    1. The concern is that as he pushes his own political agenda, X could suppress viewpoints that oppose Musk's own, either intentionally or by nature of the platform becoming more partisan. That could turn off users who feel marginalized on the platform, and disillusion some who may have earlier bought into his free speech mantra.
