Dominique Pelicot will not appeal against conviction in French mass rape case

Dominique Pelicot was convicted of drugging and raping his ex-wife for over a decade and soliciting others to do the same. He and 50 co-defendants were found guilty and received sentences ranging from 3 to 15 years in prison, with Pelicot receiving a 20-year sentence. Pelicot's lawyer stated that if he were to appeal, his ex-wife would have to undergo another ordeal, including new confrontations.
