Disaster-weary Philippines hit by fourth typhoon in less than a month

Typhoon Toraji hit the Philippines on Monday, marking the fourth storm to affect the country in a month. According to reports, the typhoon made landfall near Dilasag town, approximately 220 kilometers north-east of Manila. Despite the impact, there are no immediate reports of casualties or damage. However, the government evacuated at least 1,400 people from coastal and flood-prone areas, with a total of 2,500 villages ordered to evacuate on Sunday. This development follows the evacuation of residents in the Cagayan province due to a typhoon warning last week.
