Dinosaur fossil discovered in Hong Kong
Dinosaur fossils discovered in Hong Kong for the first time
Fossil findings on Port Island in Hong Kong's northeastern waters have been confirmed as originating from a large dinosaur from the Cretaceous period. The estimated time frame is between 145 million to 66 million years ago. While the species of the dinosaur remains unconfirmed, it is speculated that the dinosaur was buried by sand and gravel after its death, and possibly later washed to the surface.
