Delta Offers Compensation to Passengers on Plane That Crashed and Burned in Toronto

A total of 80 people were on board the Delta Air Lines regional jet that crashed at Toronto airport. The plane experienced a rough landing and rolled over, causing a fireball and plumes of black smoke to engulf it. Despite the severity of the crash, all 80 people on board survived. 21 passengers were injured in the accident, with one still remaining in the hospital as of Wednesday morning. Delta offered $30,000 to each of the 80 passengers on board, stating that the offer came with "no strings attached." The offer was extended to all passengers, including those who were not injured in the crash.
