David DePape sentenced to life without parole for attacking Paul Pelosi

David DePape has been convicted of kidnapping, burglary and false imprisonment of an elder. The conviction stems from an attack on Paul Pelosi, the husband of then-second-in-line-to-the-presidency Democrat Nancy Pelosi. DePape broke into the Pelosi's San Francisco home in 2022, bludgeoning Paul Pelosi with a hammer. The assault left Paul Pelosi with a fractured skull and other injuries, requiring him to be hospitalized for six days.
