Dani Alves leaves Spanish jail after paying €1m bail

Dani Alves, a 40-year-old soccer player, was convicted of rape and sentenced to four and a half years in jail. He was found to have committed this crime in a nightclub. Alves presented a €1 million bond (approximately $1.2 million) to a Barcelona court on Monday, to secure his provisional release from prison. The money was transferred into the account of Section 21 of the Provincial Court of Barcelona. Alves was later seen leaving the Brians 2 penitentiary center after being released on bail. However, there are restrictions on his freedom; he is prohibited from leaving Spain and from approaching or communicating with the victim.
