Baltimore Bridge Collapse

Dali Cargo Ship Moved After Destroying Baltimore's Key Bridge

The Dali cargo ship, which crashed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge on March 26, is being removed from the site. The ship lost power, veered off course, and smashed into one of the bridge's supporting columns, killing six construction workers and disrupting traffic in Baltimore Harbor. Since the incident, the ship has remained at the collapse site. On Monday, high tide is expected to provide optimal conditions for crews to begin refloating and transporting the Dali to a local marine terminal. Up to five tugboats will escort the ship on its 2.5-mile journey. The operation aims to give relief to the crew members who were stranded on board.
