Japan Airlines (JAL) has been targeted in a cyberattack, which occurred at 7:24am local time, or 2224 GMT, according to the airline's statement on the X platform. The attack disrupted the airline's systems, specifically the baggage check-in system, leading to delays for more than a dozen flights at multiple Japanese airports. JAL temporarily isolated a router believed to be the source of the disruption before 9am. This incident marks the latest in a series of cyberattacks on Japanese companies.
