Court rules Prince Harry cannot include Rupert Murdoch in phone hacking lawsuit

The High Court has dealt a setback to Prince Harry's long-running legal campaign against British tabloids. The court rejected the Duke of Sussex's bid to draw Rupert Murdoch into allegations about how Mr. Murdoch's London papers dug up personal details, ruling that lawyers for Harry and other plaintiffs could not amend their complaint. This decision comes after Justice Timothy Fancourt accused lawyers for Harry and other celebrities of having amended their legal claims to focus on "trophy" targets. The lawsuit alleges that Prince Harry was the victim of "blagging" of confidential information and unlawful acts by private investigators. Despite this setback, the judge has allowed plaintiffs to air allegations involving some of Murdoch's former top executives.
