Contested Presidential Election Result in Indonesia: Losing Candidate Files Court Challenge

Anies Baswedan, the runner-up in Indonesia's recent presidential election, has filed a legal case to challenge the outcome of the vote. He alleges that rules were unfairly changed to allow his opponent, Prabowo Subianto, to have his son as his running mate. Baswedan stated that the aim of the case is to uphold democracy and improve it. The General Election Commission has officially declared Prabowo as the winner with 58.6% of the votes, while Baswedan received 24.9%, and Ganjar Pranowo got 16.5%.
