Commemorations Mark 10-Year Anniversary of MH17 Disaster

A decade has passed since Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down over Ukraine, resulting in the deaths of 298 people. The majority of victims were Dutch nationals (193), with dozens of Australian citizens or residents also killed. In response to the tragedy, Australia and the Netherlands have initiated legal proceedings against the Russian Federation. A memorial service was held in Amsterdam to mark the anniversary, while ceremonies took place later on Wednesday at Vijfhuizen in the Netherlands, near Schiphol Airport. Additionally, a memorial was held at Parliament House's Great Hall in Canberra, Australia.
