Climate Activist Arrested for Defacing Monet Painting at Paris's Orsay Museum

A climate activist, identified as a member of the group "Riposte Alimentaire", was arrested for staging a protest at an exhibition featuring Claude Monet's painting "Coquelicots". The activist stuck a blood-red poster to the painting and then glued her hands to the wall before being detained by police. In a video posted online, she explained that the action was intended to draw attention to the potential consequences of climate change, specifically the predicted 4°C rise in global temperatures by 2050.
