Chinese Scientist Who Published Covid Sequence Protests Over Lab Eviction

Virologist Zhang Yongzhen has been involved in a dispute with public health authorities in Shanghai. According to his online post, he and his team received a sudden eviction notice from their laboratory, which was still conducting unfinished experiments. The notice allegedly came after an "emergency meeting" of public health officials last Thursday. Photos posted online show Zhang sleeping on the ground outside the lab, where guards had barred him from entering when he tried to visit over the weekend.
