China and Russia agree to deepen their ties and work together to counter international pressure
Chinese President Xi Jinping has reaffirmed his country's commitment to its relationship with Russia, stating that China will stand with Moscow against "unilateralism and hegemonic bullying". Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Moscow's Grand Kremlin Palace ahead of Russia's Victory Day celebrations, and the Chinese leader emphasized the importance of their partnership, stating that China will work with Russia to shoulder the "special responsibilities of major world powers". Putin welcomed Xi Jinping as "our main guest" and called him a "dear friend". The two leaders signed a joint statement "further deepening" their partnership, a common practice following their regular meetings. According to Chinese state media, the statement is lengthy and wide-ranging, covering various aspects of their cooperation.
The strong camaraderie between our two nations, forged in blood and sacrifice, surges onward unceasingly … It is an eternal wellspring nourishing our everlasting friendship.
The two sides should jointly resist any attempt to interfere with and undermine the China-Russia friendship and mutual trust, not be confused by temporary events or disturbed by the rough seas and use the certainty and resilience of China-Russia strategic cooperation to jointly promote the process of world multipolarisation and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
Today, 80 years later, unilateralism, hegemony and bullying are extremely harmful.
Together, we defend the formation of a more just and democratic multipolar world order.
Daily work continues to maintain positive trade dynamics.
Together with our Chinese friends, we firmly stand guard over historical truth, protect the memory of the events of the war years and counteract modern manifestations of neo-Nazism and militarism.
In today's challenging geopolitical situation and global uncertainty, the Russia-China foreign policy partnership is a key stabilizing factor on the international stage.
According to our military data, despite Putin's statements, Russian forces continue to attack across the entire frontline. From midnight to midday, Russia committed 734 ceasefire violations and 63 assault operations, 23 of which are ongoing.
Now … there are more incentives between China and Russia to present a solid image of their alignment.
China is positioning itself as a steady counterweight to an erratic, protectionist US, showcasing its alliance with Moscow as a bedrock of global stability.
Their 'no-limits' partnership clearly has limits that are shaped by shifting geopolitical realities, shaped by their respective relations with the West, united or not.
Beijing for now continues to view Moscow as an indispensable strategic partner.
Beijing likes to reaffirm this 'no-limits' partnership with Moscow in order to prevent Moscow from moving closer to the Trump administration.
