British Museum receives record donation of Chinese ceramics worth $1.27 billion

The British Museum is set to receive the Percival David collection, a vast array of Chinese ceramics valued at approximately £1 billion. Comprising 1,700 pieces, the collection spans centuries, dating from the 3rd to the 20th century. The majority of the items have been on loan to the museum since 2009.
