Brazil's Ex-President Jair Bolsonaro Indicted for Alleged Money Laundering Over Undeclared Diamonds

Brazil's former President Jair Bolsonaro has been indicted by the Federal Police for money laundering and criminal association related to undeclared diamonds from Saudi Arabia. This is his second indictment since leaving office, following a previous one in May for falsifying his Covid vaccination certificate. According to reports, Bolsonaro allegedly attempted to smuggle a $3.2 million stash of diamonds into Brazil and then secretly sell two luxury watches in the United States. The Federal Police report with the indictment has yet to be received by Brazil's Supreme Court, where it will be analyzed by Prosecutor-General Paulo Gonet before any charges are filed.
