Bird Photographer of the Year 2024 winners announced

Patricia Seaton Homonylo, a Canadian photographer, was declared Bird Photographer of the Year for her image "When Worlds Collide". The image, taken in Toronto, highlights the issue of bird collisions with windows, with over 4,000 birds dying in North America alone due to this problem. Homonylo's image was chosen from over 23,000 entries from around the globe. The Bird Photographer of the Year award is part of Rolex's Perpetual Planet Initiative, which aims to raise awareness and education around key sustainability issues.
