Big Ben Closed After Man Climbs Tower with Palestinian Flag

A protester climbed the Elizabeth Tower in London, popularly known as "Big Ben", while carrying a Palestinian flag. The individual was seen perched barefoot on a ledge several meters up, prompting an emergency response from authorities. A fire brigade lift and megaphone were used in an attempt to communicate with the protester, while police officers worked to bring the situation to a safe conclusion. Three emergency workers were also lifted up on a fire brigade ladder platform to aid in the response.
