Berlin Police Arrest Individuals in Ongoing Investigation of Red Army Faction Case

German authorities conducted raids in Berlin on Sunday as part of their longstanding investigation into the Red Army Faction (RAF), also known as the Baader-Meinhof Gang. One of the three fugitives they were seeking was identified as Daniela Klette, who had been on the run for decades. The other two suspects, Ernst-Volker Staub and Burkhard Garweg, were also targets of the investigation. The police intensified their search for Staub and Garweg in recent days. During the raid, two men were provisionally arrested but their identities have yet to be confirmed as those of the wanted suspects. Klette, aged 65, was taken into custody earlier in the week. The RAF was a far-left militant group active in Germany during the 1970s and 1980s.
