BHP proposes acquisition of Anglo American to form largest copper producer

Anglo American, a FTSE 100 company, has been approached with an all-share offer from BHP Group. The proposed deal would create the world's largest copper miner, producing around 10% of global output. If successful, it would likely be one of the top 10 biggest mining deals by value in history.
