Australian museum admits "Picassos" hanging in toilet are fakes
The Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) in Australia has been involved in a controversy surrounding an exhibition featuring artworks attributed to Pablo Picasso. The exhibition, called "Ladies Lounge", was initially presented as a women-only space displaying original Picassos once owned by curator Kirsha Kaechele's great-grandmother. However, it was later revealed that the paintings were actually fake, created by Kaechele herself to match the green theme of her installation.
