Australia charges soldier and his wife with alleged espionage activities on behalf of Russia

A married couple, Kira Korolev, a 40-year-old Russian-born woman, and her husband Igor, 62, have been charged with spying on behalf of Russia. The pair, who had lived in Australia for over 10 years, were arrested at their home in Brisbane and are accused of obtaining military information to share with Russian authorities. They will appear in court on Friday to face one count each of preparing for an espionage offence. It is unclear how long they have been under investigation.
