At least one person has been killed and several others injured following a tornado that struck a Detroit suburb

A devastating incident occurred in suburban Detroit, Michigan, where a 2-year-old boy and his mother were sleeping when a massive tree fell onto their home. The tree crashed through the roof, landing on the bed where they were sleeping. Emergency crews worked for nearly an hour to remove the roof and parts of the tree before lifting it to rescue the victims. Unfortunately, the toddler was pronounced dead at the scene, while his mother was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. A 2-week-old sibling was not injured but was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
