At least one dead and several injured after explosion destroys block of flats in The Hague

A powerful explosion and subsequent fire tore through a three-storey apartment block in The Hague's Mariahoeve neighbourhood early Saturday morning, causing part of the building to collapse. Emergency teams are continuing their search for survivors, but the chance of finding living people under the rubble is very small, according to the city's mayor.
