At least eight people killed in head-on collision between two passenger trains in eastern India

A recent train collision in India's West Bengal state has resulted in at least 15 fatalities and dozens of injuries. According to railway authorities, the incident was caused by driver error.

A passenger train, known as the Kanchenjunga Express, was involved in a collision with a freight train in West Bengal, India. The accident occurred south of Siliguri, near the foothills leading to Darjeeling. According to reports, the goods train collided with a stationary passenger train, although the exact cause of the crash is still unknown and an investigation is underway. Rescue efforts are currently being carried out by ambulances and disaster teams at the site.
