At least 29 people killed in fire at Istanbul nightclub during renovations
A fire broke out in a 16-storey building in Istanbul's Besiktas district on the European side of the city, which has resulted in at least 29 fatalities. The fire started during daytime repair work on the ground and basement floors of the building, which housed a nightclub. Five people have been arrested, including the management and the person responsible for the renovations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
