At least 27 people dead and 100 missing after boat capsizes in Nigeria

A total of approximately 200 passengers were on board a boat that capsized on the Niger River, while traveling from Kogi state to neighboring state of Niger. As of Friday evening, a total of 27 bodies were recovered from the river by rescue teams. The search for survivors was ongoing, but no survivors had been found within the first 12 hours after the incident.
