At least 115 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in Gaza as they commemorated Nakba Day
The current situation in Gaza appears to be increasingly dire, with multiple articles suggesting a significant escalation of violence and civilian casualties. Israeli airstrikes have resulted in the deaths of at least 70 people, with a large number of fatalities concentrated in northern Gaza. According to some reports, at least 50 people, including 22 children, were killed in strikes around Jabaliya in northern Gaza alone. Another article mentions a local journalist, Hassan Samour, who was killed along with 11 family members. These incidents come after air strikes at a hospital in Khan Younis and follow the release of an Israeli-American hostage by Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that Israel will not halt its war in Gaza.
We have recognized Israel's right to defend itself, but as a democracy.
I say it forcefully, what the government of Benjamin Netanyahu is doing today is unacceptable.
On October 7, there was a terrorist attack of the worst scale against the Israeli people, launched by Hamas (...) We condemned it forcefully.
There's no medicine. We can't get the wounded out. Doctors can't get in. What he's doing is a disgrace. It's a disgrace.
Then, yes, we must fight to demilitarize Hamas, free the hostages and build a political solution.
We need the United States. President [Donald] Trump has the levers. I have had tough words with Prime Minister Netanyahu. I got angry, but they [Israel] don't depend on us, they depend on American weapons.
We will use all the tools at our disposal and reach the murderers in order to hold them accountable.
Macron has once again chosen to stand with a murderous Islamist terrorist organization and echo its despicable propaganda, accusing Israel of blood libels.
The European hospital in Gaza is not operational as a result of the latest attacks. The strike caused substantial damage to infrastructure, such as sewer lines, damage to internal wards and roads leading to the hospital.
Prime Minister Netanyahu is determined to accomplish all of Israel's war goals, including the release of all our hostages, destroy Hamas's military and governance capabilities and ensure that Gaza will never again pose a threat to Israel.
As we've stated repeatedly, this particular distribution plan does not accord with our basic principles, including those of impartiality, neutrality, independence, and we will not be participating in this.
Access to food, water, and medicine is a fundamental human right – not a subject for negotiation.
I think a lot of good things are going to happen over the next month, and we're going to see. We have to help also out the Palestinians. You know, a lot of people are starving on Gaza, so we have to look at both sides.
I have concepts for Gaza that I think are very good ... let the United States get involved and make it just a freedom zone.
Israel's blockade has transcended military tactics to become a tool of extermination.
Ninety-four martyrs have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since dawn today.
