American Airlines jet engine catches fire after landing in Denver with passengers evacuated safely

American Airlines flight 1006, a Boeing 737-800, safely landed at Denver International Airport around 5:15pm local time after diverting from its original route. However, the plane caught fire after landing and taxiing, forcing passengers and crew to evacuate onto the wing. A total of 172 passengers and 6 crew members safely exited the plane, with 6 passengers being taken to a local hospital for treatment.
