American Airlines Faces Lawsuit Over Alleged Racial Discrimination Incident

Three African American men filed a lawsuit in federal court in New York against American Airlines, alleging racial discrimination. According to their claim, they were told to leave a plane waiting to take off in Phoenix after being seated together. The airline offered to rebook them, but when it became clear there were no other available flights, the men felt targeted for removal solely because of their race. The case is being funded by consumer advocacy group Public Citizen. American Airlines has stated that they are investigating the matter, while the men claim that they were singled out and humiliated due to their race, stating "Clearly, this was discrimination" and "American Airlines singled us out for being black, embarrassed us, and humiliated us".
