Amazon to require in-office presence for all employees five days a week

Amazon is implementing a new policy requiring corporate employees to return to the office five days a week, effective January 2, 2025. The change aims to promote collaboration, connection, and a sense of culture among employees. This policy reverses the flexible work arrangements put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, hot-desking will be eliminated, and employees will be assigned allocated desks. Additionally, Amazon plans to reduce management layers to minimize unnecessary meetings.
