Alice Munro's Daughter Accuses Her Mother of Knowing About Childhood Abuse

Alice Munro's daughter, Andrea Robin Skinner, has alleged that her stepfather, Gerald Fremlin, sexually assaulted her when she was nine years old in 1976. Skinner claims that her mother, Alice Munro, knew about the abuse but stayed with Fremlin despite his admission of guilt. In 2005, Skinner reported the incident to the police and a police officer. The allegations have been met with widespread tributes to Munro following her death at age 92 in May.
