Alejandro Toledo sentenced to more than 20 years in prison for corruption and bribery
Alejandro Toledo, the 78-year-old former President of Peru, was found guilty of taking $35m in bribes from a Brazilian construction company, Odebrecht. The charges against him include collusion, money laundering, and accepting bribes in exchange for tenders to build two sections of an international highway.
