TikTok banned in Albania
Albania bans TikTok for a year following fatal stabbing of teenager
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that the government will shut down social network TikTok for at least a year starting from 2025. This decision comes after the killing of a 14-year-old student in a fight near a school in Tirana, which occurred less than a month ago. Rama stated that TikTok would be "fully closed for all", with no clear indication if the platform has a presence in Albania.
