2024 US Presidential Election
Adam Schiff Urges President Biden to Withdraw from Presidential Race
Rep. Adam Schiff has publicly urged President Joe Biden to step aside and allow another candidate to face Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. Specifically, Schiff has called for Biden to "pass the torch" to a new candidate, suggesting that he should not run for re-election. This is not the first time Schiff has made such a call, as he has also stated that Biden should forgo his re-election bid altogether. Additionally, a recent poll found that nearly two-thirds of US Democrats believe Biden should allow the party to choose a new candidate.
It's worth noting that Schiff himself is currently running for a Senate seat in California and may be motivated by self-interest in calling for Biden to step aside. Nevertheless, he joins a growing chorus of Democratic lawmakers who have urged Biden to drop out of the 2024 election race.
