As of the end of 2023, a record number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) has been reported, with over 75.9 million individuals forced to leave their homes due to conflicts and natural disasters. This figure represents an increase of approximately 50% from the previous year's total of 71.1 million IDPs. The rise in displacements is attributed to both new wars and ongoing, drawn-out conflicts.
