4 million people face "acute food insecurity" in troubled Haiti

According to Jean-Martin Bauer, the United Nations food agency chief, approximately 4 million people in Haiti are facing food insecurity, with 1 million of them being on the brink of famine. The situation has been exacerbated by gang violence, which has displaced an additional 15,000 people, bringing the total number of displaced individuals to over 360,000. Bauer expressed concern about the worsening conditions and urged for immediate action to address the crisis.
